Supermicro Solutions Support NVMe™ SSD in M.2 Form Factor

Supermicro now offers client/enterprise NVMe NVMe™ SSDs in the industry-standard M.2 2280/22110 form factor, with up to 3.84TB of capacity. M.2 form factor NVMe SSDs support up to four lanes of PCIe® 3.1, delivering a maximum interface bandwidth more than six times that of SATA's 6.0Gbit/s. The NVMe protocol is optimized for solid state technology and designed for low latency. Powerful error correction technology helps protect customer data from corruption, improves reliability, and extends the life of the SSD. Engineered for power efficiency, client/enterprise NVMe M.2 SSDs take advantage of the lower power state modes defined by the PCIe specification.
